CELEBRATING POC AS MAGAZINE COVER STARS

When I found out about my producer Emma Love’s collection of magazines with POC cover stars I had to film them. As a brown teen growing up at the same time who noticed the absence of representation and the warped beauty standards it was an important project for me to document personally. Emma’s collection is a physical map for the slow but sure progress of non-white representation in the mainstream. Hope you get the chance to see the collection in real life one day because it really is a sight to behold.
